I really enjoy this series. It’s so surreal (this can’t actually happen!) and yet, similar events seem to flood the current headlines. Book four of the series (this one) seems to stand alone as its own “episode”. That’s neither a good thing or a bad thing, just something I noticed. The larger story arc is present, but sort of “put aside” for this smaller (probably essential to the overall storyline eventually) plot to play out.

I enjoyed these characters, and it’s far too quick a read in that I know it will be another year or so before the story continues! Ugh…
