Life Is Hard, For Everyone

Posted on August 14th, 2013 :: 8:00 amAugust 14th, 2013 :: 10:45 am by Greg

Recently, in several discussions with friends and relatives, I was condsidering again how everyone has something. Each of us—despite appearances to the contrary—is dealing with some hard thing. Whether it’s our own health, finances, relationships,…

It’s Time for the County Fair!

Posted on August 13th, 2013 :: 8:00 amAugust 12th, 2013 :: 11:32 pm by Greg

The Wayne County Fair opened up today, and we were there! We do enjoy our annual trip(s) to the fairgrounds, especially since it’s only a few blocks from our house! Being so close, we usually make a couple trips up there during the week of the fair, making sure to take advantage of any free…

Natural Consequences

Posted on August 12th, 2013 :: 8:00 amAugust 11th, 2013 :: 5:48 pm by Greg

Parenting is not for the faint of heart. It starts out with no sleep, lots of messes to clean up (including many dirty bottoms per day), fussy meal times, and plenty of time just trying to figure out what makes this new person tick! Then you reach the mobile stage and it become exponentially harder….

The Rolling

Posted on August 7th, 2013 :: 6:20 amAugust 11th, 2013 :: 5:58 pm by Greg

Each day rolls on, paying no mind to me. My waking happens without my choosing, weariness creeps slowly back, until my body begs me to rest once more. My body requires, and it returns. Food, water, air—all are processed by this body without my doing, though I do receive some pleasure in parts of the…

My Indirect (and Disastrous) Encounter(s) with Endurance International Group

Posted on August 6th, 2013 :: 10:23 amAugust 6th, 2013 :: 3:33 pm by Greg

This is a “for the record” kind of post. Perhaps you’ll find it as appalling interesting as I have while following all of the connected trails in my research. A good while back now, in what was the early childhood of the “internets“, I began what is my current career of website hosting management and…

The Simple Life

Posted on August 5th, 2013 :: 8:00 amAugust 4th, 2013 :: 11:24 pm by Greg

I have two friends who host a podcast called “Cultivate Simple“. It’s about working toward living simply, intentionally, in every area of life. They certainly are quite good at this, but I always chuckle at the title as I am also aware of the multitude of actitivies and responsibilities and events that dot their schedules….
